The 2017 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards will celebrate more than the pursuit of excellence and business achievement within the City. It will celebrate longevity and resilience with the introduction of the Search for the Oldest Business in the City campaign.
In addition to the 12 Award Categories and three Major Awards, the 2017 Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards now includes an opportunity for businesses to nominate as one of the long-standing contributors to the City.
Business Growth Centre Manager, Brett Gleeson believes that the search for the oldest business in the city adds great value to the Awards:
“We know that there are a number of businesses out there striving for excellence and achieving great results and we are looking forward to receiving entries from them all. We would also like to find and celebrate the businesses that have been a constant in our town centres for decades, not just years, and who have made a significant contribution.”
The Search for the Oldest Business in the City campaign aims to find the businesses that have been operational within Lake Macquarie for more than 20 years. Businesses that nominate will be acknowledged at the Awards Gala Dinner in July.

Nominations are open to the general public as well as businesses. The nominations for this campaign will close at the end of June.
